The government will roll out four nationwide surveys in regional languages to reduce data inaccuracies because of translation issues in the past, while recording responses in local languages. The household surveys, which are to be conducted by the Labor Ministry, will be largely digital. These surveys on migrant workers, domestic workers, employment generated by professionals, and the transport sector will have a tremendous role to play at the national level by providing data on the most affected labor market participants. The surveys are expected to be broad based with large sample sizes and will bring out comparative data for such workers, who have previously not been accounted for.
